  • The FIS Fiber Optic Visual Fault Locator is an essential tool for troubleshooting fiber optic systems. A 1mW fiber coupled laser sends a 650nm visible red light down the length of the optical fiber. The escaping light enables you to easily identify breaks or severe macro bends in fiber optic cable. This high quality VFL uses internal optics to optimize the unit's performance for your singlemode or multimode fiber optic applications. Fiber end identification and continuity testing over long distances are other applications for this fiber optic testing device that you will find useful. The Fiber Optic Visual Fault Locator operates with two AA batteries (provided).

    The FIS Fiber Optic Visual Fault Locator is surrounded by an impact-resistant rubber boot, an important protective feature that is also included on our hand held OTDRs, Power Meters, Light Sources and Test Sets.
