Wilcom’s Optical Fiber Identifiers are rugged metal units with the best sensitivity detection on the market today. They operate by inducing a macrobend on the fiber, and can be used for single mode and multimode applications. Certain Wilcom models allow Relative Core Power measurements to be displayed. The unit can also detect the presence of 2kHz, 1kHz or 270Hz modulated tones. The optical head accepts a 3mm, 250µm /Ribbon or 900µm fibers.
